ContiTech CONTI® TOOL BOX

Thanks to ContiTech’s new toolbox, garage mechanics can now change drive belts in cars more professionally and check that they have been fitted correctly.

The case contains various insert sets which can be used to lock the moving parts of a drive system – such as the flywheel or the camshaft and crankshaft – or also the fuel injection pump. This simplifies the process of replacing the timing belt and the drives on the auxiliary units. The inserts are suitable for Alfa Romeo, Audi, BMW, Citroën, Fiat, Ford, Renault, Peugeot and Volkswagen.

The TOOLBOX also includes a stethoscope to enable the mechanic to precisely locate noises in bearings. In this way damage to pulleys and bearings can be found which causes the belt to rub on edges of the fixed structure.

With a special laser tool from the toolbox the mechanic can also check whether the drive wheel and the driven wheel are properly aligned, ensuring that the drive belt is unobstructed and running smoothly.

To make the TOOLBOX easy to use, all tools in the set are listed with their respective application fields. The ContiTech TOOLBOX has the additional advantage that the set price is cheaper than the cost of the individual components.
